Which means we can network with many practitioners of hippotherapy and other Equine Assisted/facilitated services around the world. Some ACPEA members are particularly active in HETI-UK and the European sub-group of HETI, the European Equine Facilitated Therapy network EEFTn.
The bi-annual magazine, The Global Gallop, contains a lot of good articles and the link to it will be posted on the ACPEA website when it comes out.
The HETI journal contains peer-reviewed scientific papers. The ACPEA International Officer, Jo Parsons or the Research Officer, Victoria Warburton, can help with any papers members wish to read. Contact secretary@acpea.org
The next HETI International Congress is taking place in Hungary 18th -22ndJune 2024. This congress takes place every 3 years, and has done since 1974, but the last one had to be partly online from South Korea due to the pandemic. ACPEA members have been attendees since the very beginning and have greatly benefitted from the experience and from the contacts made around the world. Further details of the 2024 congress will be on the ACPEA website as soon as they are released.
