Welcome to ACPEA's new committee members. An update from ACPEA's New Chair, Nona Dane.

Following ACPEA's Annual General Meeting, there have been some changes to the committee.

After a very busy nine years Elizabeth has left the committee but is continuing as an active ACPEA member. No doubt she will be called upon to help us out from time to time! We have also lost Vicki Bennett who did a fantastic job as secretary sorting out all the website issues, as well as writing endless minutes. Unfortunately, Jo Parsons has also retired, and we will really miss her ability to see sense in every situation and always happy to help with any task put to her.

Hopefully these three members will still be able to play an active role within the membership as they have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

However onwards and upwards. We have a new committee which held its first meeting last night.  Elspeth was voted on as secretary and will be assisted by Vicki initially and then Jennie Wilkinson. Gilean is the new Vice Chair and Nona is the new Chair. We have two new members, Shelley Williams and Ishbel Benzie, who are going to be great assets on the committee.

We are hoping that we can reinstate the regular Monday evening CPD sessions, regular training events throughout the year and a conference in June 2024.

There will be a questionnaire circulating soon to try to get some feedback from members. It is really important that you all engage with the committee and tell us what you want! No suggestion is silly, and everyone’s opinions is valued, please make the effort to get in touch, committee email addresses can be found on the “about us” page.
