Annual ACPEA Conference 2025

PROGRAMME

On Friday, 12 September, there is a short programme for ACPEA members only, which is free of charge. Please see below.

Saturday 13th

9.15 Registration

9.30-11.00 Group discussion on treatment progression.  To include positions, equipment used and activities when working with equines, led by 3 practising ACPEA members. Bring your relevant concerns and examples of good practice to share with the attendees.

11.00-11.15 Coffee.

11.30-12.30 Practical session delivered by The Fortune Centre on Rhythm work and an introduction to Vaulting.

12.30-13.30 Lunch and Networking.

It may be possible to have a guided tour of the Centre.

1.30 Demonstration of correct bit and saddle fitting. “How and saddle and bridle fitting affects the horse’s movement”. Delivered by Frances Roche SMS Master Bridle and Harness Fitter, Fellow of the Society of Master Saddlers and Catherine Baker SMS Master Bridle Maker and Qualified Bridle Fitter and Master Saddler.

Discussion and Q&A. 

 3.30 Tea

3.45 Classroom.

Q and A and feedback on the day. Where do we go from here?

4.00 Finish.

Drinks and snacks provided. Bring your own lunch.

Sturdy footwear is recommended for the practical sessions.

  • £85 for ACPEA members — use code: EARLYBIRDMEMBER

  • £120 for non-members — use code: EARLYBIRD

Standard Rates (from 21 July 2025 onwards):

  • £120 for ACPEA members — use code: ACPEAMEMBER

  • £150 for non-members (no code required)

Important: If you do not enter a discount code, you will be charged the full non-member rate of £150. Please ensure you select the correct code based on your membership status.

Attendees are welcome to join ACPEA if they wish at £45 per year.

We are hoping that the conference will provide education,peer support and a chance to meet others working in the field of Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT), Friday 13th, for ACPEA members only.
