Overview
The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy provides education and therapy through horses. It is a UK based registered charity, serving as an Independent Specialist Provision for young horse enthusiasts with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
Our Weekly Riding Therapy Service provides a range of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies such as Riding Therapy, Equine Facilitated Physiotherapy (Hippotherapy), Vaulting and Rhythm work sessions. These sessions are run by qualified Riding Therapy instructors and specialist Hippotherapy trained Physiotherapists. This service is charity funded and provided for local children under the age of 12 from specialist education schools or individual/ professional self referral.
The Fortune College provides Further Education Through Horsemanship (FETH) course for young adults post-16 which offers an educational residential/ day programme working with horses and developing independent living skills, develop communication skills and opportunities to achieve accredited qualifications and skills for working life.
