50th Anniversary of the start of Wantage RDA

ACPEA Secretary, Elspeth,  was delighted to be invited to attend the celebratory Tea Party on 5th October.   Attendees included volunteers through the ages, and current RDA personnel.

Elspeth was Community Paediatric Physio with the Special School and Adult Training Centre for whom Wantage RDA it was developed.   Her guidance to the school fostered an understanding of the value of RDA sessions to the pupils, and now pupils attend twice weekly.  

The start was using family ponies which were brought to a fairly safe field, when H&S was just a dream.    Now the Group meet at the local Riding Stables, who have been very supportive, and brought 2 ponies out to the Tea.
