Overview

I have been involved with horses one way or another since my childhood, and went on to compete at BSJA show jumping to foxhunter level. I have event groomed both here and in Australia and New Zealand up to four star level. I have a national Diploma in Equine studies and BHS level three certificate in both riding and care. I have a postgraduate course in hippotherapy and have two years experience volunteering for the riding for the disabled (RDA) as a hippotherapist. I have seen and experienced first-hand the incredible healing benefits that horses have on both mental and physical health.

I have been a physiotherapist for 14 years, I am registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the health professions council (HCPC). I have worked in many different areas of physiotherapy in both the NHS and private sector including; trauma and orthopaedics, outpatients, intermediate care, community, hand therapy, Women’s health, rehabilitation, pain, ergonomics, elderly, hydrotherapy and Clinical Pilates. Since the Covid Pandemic, I now work within respiratory for the NHS.

I am very excited to be collaborating with Equine Connect who specialise in equine assisted therapy, based near Bodmin, bringing Hippotherapy to Cornwall and hope to be able to offer treatment sessions in 2025!
